"I do not like India. It’s a country full of 1.4 billion problems.”
British YouTuber Miles Routledge, also known as Lord Miles, caused controversy with a racist tirade against Indians after tracking his stolen AirPods in Pakistan.
Miles blamed Indian cleaners for the theft, saying the device vanished in Dubai nearly a year ago.
He went viral for the adventure but whilst speaking to Pakistani media, Miles said:
“Many Indians come from a corrupt system.
“They worship a god that is a cow, not a real man, which is why I believe Indians are not real men.
“They stole my AirPods when I trusted them to clean my room and then sold them to a man in Pakistan. I do not like India. It’s a country full of 1.4 billion problems.”
He also called India “no good” and the “scum of the Earth”.
His comments divided opinion on X.
Some slammed him for his “hate speech”, with one person replying:
“This is absolutely racist and pure putrid hate speech. Why is his account not suspended?”
Another labelled the YouTuber a “lifeless racist scum”.
However, others found his remarks hilarious.
It was reported that Miles had enabled “lost mode” on his iPhone, allowing him to track the AirPods in real time.
He was shocked to find they had surfaced in Kala Gujran, near Jhelum in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
With no contacts in the area, Miles turned to social media, posting the device’s GPS location and tagging the Jhelum Police.
District Police Officer Tariq Aziz Sindhu ordered a search of households with links to Dubai.
Officers went door to door until they found the person using the AirPods. The man reportedly confessed to buying them unknowingly from an Indian national in Dubai.
Accepting this account, the police recovered the device.
Officers then contacted Lord Miles to confirm whether he would travel to Pakistan to collect the AirPods or provide an address for delivery.
He opted for the former, announcing on X: “I’m going to get a police officer and storm the area, get back my AirPods and film it all. Don’t like thieves.”

However, upon arrival, the device was already in police custody. Miles was invited to a restaurant for lunch instead.
In a televised statement, he praised the Pakistani authorities:
“Scotland Yard in London would not do for a British citizen like me what Jhelum Police have done.”
Following the recovery, Miles intensified his criticism of Indians online, labelling them “thieves”.
In a post on X, he wrote: “An announcement from the Pakistan Jhelum Police Chief, the Inspector General and Lord Miles regarding the STOLEN AirPods.
“I have MY AirPods back after 1 year!
“TLDR: it was unknowingly sold to a Pakistani man by an Indian national who’s now been arrested on procuring and trafficking stolen goods.”
This is not the first time Miles has courted controversy over anti-Indian comments.
In August 2024, he shared a threatening message from an anonymous X user and, without evidence, claimed the sender was Indian.
In a separate post, he joked about using nuclear weapons against India, writing:
“When I become Prime Minister of England, I’ll open the nuclear silos… I’m itching to launch and atomise entire nations over the smallest infraction.
“Hell, I might just launch at India just for the sake of it!”
