“You can do better. Try again.”
Some netizens criticised Kusha Kapila over her picture with Deepika Padukone.
The internet personality collaborated with the Bollywood star for a skincare product in a sketch captioned:
“When your best friend talks to someone else.”
However, the promotional video was panned by internet users, with many calling it “cringe” and “pointless”.
Kusha has since shared a picture with Deepika and the caption read:
“I am out of captions because look at her. Thank you for all the love on our collab my team and I were very starstruck.
“@harsh_pranav was legit shaking while showing her the script hahahah. Same, Harsh, same.
“Thanks to her, we shot this in record time. Warm, kind and collaborative. Core memory.”
The picture led to a mixed response.
Many stated that Kusha looked better than Deepika in the photo.
One said: “Kusha you are looking prettier than her.”
Another wrote: “You look way better honestly.”
However, there were some critics.
One person even labelled Kusha a “fame digger”.
This prompted Kusha to fire back, commenting:
“You can do better. Try again.”
Some fans praised Kusha’s response while others urged her to ignore the hateful comments.
Kusha Kapila has been in the headlines since she announced her separation from husband Zorawar Ahluwalia.
Her announcement did not go down well, with many netizens accusing Kusha of leaving Zorawar once she found success.
Some even shared old interview clips and implied that Kusha left him because she feels she is now too good for him.
Kusha initially remained silent on the matter while Zorawar hit back at the haters, saying:
“To attack Kusha’s character and paint her as some villain is shameful. Let’s all please do better.”
Kusha Kapila later took to her Instagram Stories and said:
“This topic is officially over for me, moving forward. I haven’t given a statement to anyone nor will I ever give one.
“I do not have a PR team so no story is a plant. It’s done now.
“Also, I have restricted countless profiles over the last two weeks, restricted words, sanitised comment sections and hopefully, we are at the tail end of it but that doesn’t mean I haven’t seen how so many of you have fought with these useless, disgusting mosquitoes with logic and so much dignity.
“It sucks that you have to do this but I promise that I am sanitising my feed slowly, but steadily. Over.”
