"I have restricted countless profiles over the last two weeks"
Kusha Kapila has reacted to the online attacks she has faced since her separation.
In June 2023, the social media personality announced her separation from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia.
Her statement read: “Zorawar and I have mutually decided to part ways.
“This hasn’t been an easy decision by any means but we know it’s the right one at this point in our lives.
“The love and life we have shared together continue to mean everything to us, but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align.
“We gave it our all until we couldn’t anymore.”
However, this did not go down well, with many internet users accusing Kusha of leaving Zorawar once she found success.
Some even shared old interview clips and implied that Kusha left him because she feels she is now too good for him.
While Kusha remained silent on the matter, Zorawar hit back at the haters, stating that the separation was a mutual decision.
He said: “We realise we live public lives, but we still hold certain things sacred.
“Our marriage and respect for each other being one of them.
“Divorce much like our marriage was a decision we both made together, after much deliberation and thought.
“It was a tough and painful decision but one we took collectively, for the sake of both of our well-being.
“What has transpired over the last 24 hours, with Kusha being subject to vile attacks online makes me sad and disappointed.
“To attack Kusha’s character and paint her as some villain is shameful.
“Let’s all please do better.”
As the online attacks continued, Kusha Kapila has now broken her silence.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kusha said:
“This topic is officially over for me, moving forward. I haven’t given a statement to anyone nor will I ever give one.”
“I do not have a PR team so no story is a plant. It’s done now.
“Also, I have restricted countless profiles over the last two weeks, restricted words, sanitised comment sections and hopefully, we are at the tail end of it but that doesn’t mean I haven’t seen how so many of you have fought with these useless, disgusting mosquitoes with logic and so much dignity.
“It sucks that you have to do this but I promise that I am sanitising my feed slowly, but steadily. Over.”
