Bollywood rumours say Kareena Kapoor Khan will be a part of Dinesh Vijan’s upcoming film Angrezi Medium. The seemingly confirmed news came from Radhika Madan, who is also in the film.
She took to Instagram to share a picture of her on set alongside an apparently normal caption.
However, one hashtag did not go unnoticed and sent social media users into a frenzy.
Angrezi Medium is the sequel to 2017 hit Hindi Medium and it will see Irrfan Khan returning for the second instalment.
Radhika will play Irrfan’s daughter and she stated her excitement about being a part of the project and inadvertently revealed that Kareena was part of the film by tagging her.
There had been rumours as to when Kareena would share the big screen with Irrfan. It looks like they are all set although it has not been confirmed by the filmmakers nor Kareena.
Producer Dinesh Vijan teased the inclusion of a major actress in a previous interview. He said:
“Radhika Madan is playing Irrfan’s daughter but yes, there is another amazing leading lady. Talks are on.”
Angrezi Medium will be Irrfan’s first film since he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. He battled the illness and came out victorious after having treatment in London.
The actor has gone straight back to work and is facing the cameras of Vijan’s film.
He shared his look from the new film and it got fans excited for the film where he will play a sweet shop owner.

The actor said he is happy to be back on a film set and is excited to tell the audience another story.
Dinesh spoke about Irrfan’s return:
“Having him back on set was a surreal feeling, he’s undoubtedly one of the best actors in the country.”
“When he gave the first shot, everyone around got emotional.
“For me, it was one of those life-defining moments working with him again after Hindi Medium. Having him and Homi (director Homi Adajania) together was something all three of us have always wanted.”
The story of Angrezi Medium is different from its predecessor, which had Saba Qamar starring opposite Irrfan.
Deepak Dobriyal also returns to the sequel where he and Irrfan will play rivalling brothers who have inherited a 100-year-old sweet shop.
A distant cousin, played by Manu Rishi, owns a major sweet shop business and only adds to the family rivalry.
Hindi Medium went on to be a hit in 2017 and Irrfan’s return to film has given the sequel positive signals.
