Siam Ahmed and Shobnom Bubly’s Jongli has seen an increase in the number of shows at multiplexes.

Zahid Hasan Abhi, head of the film’s production company, Tiger Media, confirmed this positive development to the local media.

Initially, Jongli had a limited number of screenings, which raised questions about its distribution.

Despite a large billboard at the Shimanto Shambar branch of Cineplex, no shows were initially scheduled there.

But now, two additional shows have been added, one at 11 am and another at 4 pm.

Additionally, an extra show has been included at Jamuna Blockbuster.

The decision to increase the number of shows came after some dissatisfaction expressed by the producers and crew over the initial scheduling.

They were concerned that Jongli was not being given as many shows as some other Eid releases.

The producers noted that although Eid films usually generate significant excitement, Jongli received fewer shows compared to films like Chokkor 302.

This mismatch in the number of shows raised concerns about potential financial losses for the film.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Manager of Media and Marketing at Star Cineplex, explained that show schedules are directly influenced by audience demand.

He clarified that the decision to add more screenings was made in response to this demand.

He ensured that the audience’s preferences were fully considered.

Directed by M Raahim, Jongli features an impressive cast, including Siam, Bubly, Prarthana Fardin Dighi, Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim, and Rashed Mamun Apu.

Siam, who was involved in the project from the scripting stage, spoke passionately about his work on the film.

He said: “I was part of it from the beginning. I’ve devoted a lot of time to Jongli.

“It was made with great care. My co-artistes gave their best, both in effort and emotion.”

“For many reasons, Jongli means a great deal to me. I love acting. I don’t see it as a struggle, it’s work, it’s passion. Jongli is by far my favourite work.”

Siam expressed his hope that the audience would connect with the film, as he believes it has a unique emotional depth.

With the added shows and the team’s dedication, Jongli is gaining more attention.

The producers are optimistic about its future at the box office.
