The much-anticipated song ‘Bondhugo Shono’ from the upcoming Eid release Jongli was released on March 21, 2025, via Tiger Media’s YouTube channel.
The song, which features the on-screen romance between Shobnom Bubly and Siam Ahmed, adds to the growing buzz surrounding the film.
Jongli, directed by M Rahim, is set to hit theatres this Eid-ul-Fitr.
The film has been generating excitement with the release of its teaser, poster, and earlier tracks.
‘Bondhugo Shono’ is the latest track to make waves, offering a glimpse into the film’s romantic storyline.
The visuals were filmed in the picturesque setting of Manikganj, just outside Dhaka, adding a beautiful backdrop to the romantic duet.
Composer Prince Mahmud, speaking about the creation of the song, shared his thoughts on Facebook, saying:
“Director Rahim and the Jongli team wanted a sweet, classic ’90s-style romantic duet. I tried to deliver that in my own way.
“Hopefully, it resonates with listeners.”
Mahmud’s nostalgic touch is expected to strike a chord with audiences, taking them back to the romance-filled melodies of the past.
As part of the promotional campaign for Jongli, Shobnom Bubly shared a unique and playful look on social media.
She appeared in a lungi, jokingly asking her followers: “Hey guys, how about watching Jongli in a lungi?”
This fun and unconventional take on the promotion quickly sparked conversations online, with many fans praising Bubly for her creative and relatable approach.
In a statement about her excitement for the project, Bubly expressed her enthusiasm, saying:
“This is my first time working with director Rahim Bhai. I’m confident that the audience is in for something special.
“The poster and teaser have already hinted at a sense of mystery—let that intrigue continue.
“I can say with confidence that Jongli offers a completely unique story and presentation.”
Director M Rahim also shared his thoughts on Bubly’s perfect casting in the film.
He said: “Given the nature of the story in Jongli, Bubly was the perfect match opposite Siam.
“Both Siam and Bubly, along with the rest of the cast, have delivered commendable performances. We hope to offer something remarkable this Eid.”
The song ‘Bondhugo Shono’ features vocals by Kona and Imran.
The film’s team is hopeful that the song will become a fan favourite ahead of the film’s release.
