Janhvi Kapoor showcased a head-to-toe Miu Miu look at the launch event of EKTRA Jewels by Ekta Kapoor and Susanne Khan.
The actress, who has increasingly become a familiar face in the brand’s aesthetic universe, leaned into a Y2K-inspired preppy direction for the appearance.
For the event, Janhvi wore a grey mini balloon skirt crafted from technical wind- and waterproof material.
The structured silhouette sat high and gathered neatly, giving the look a sharp, youthful edge while highlighting her toned legs in a controlled, tailored way.
The piece drew from early 2000s styling codes, aligned with Miu Miu’s recent focus on micro and mini silhouettes that have become central to its runway identity.

She paired the skirt with a matching grey windbreaker featuring sporty black stripes.
The jacket carried strong utilitarian references, including raglan sleeves, elasticised cuffs and a stand-up collar, echoing 1980s sportswear influences.
Underneath, Janhvi layered a light blue poplin shirt and a maroon V-neck cotton sweater, creating a multi-layered preppy combination despite Mumbai’s intense heat.

Stylist Meagan Concessio completed the look with strappy heels and a blue Miu Miu Wander bag in matelassé nappa leather.
The accessories added a polished contrast to the sporty base of the outfit.
Oval black-rimmed glasses and a small ear cuff were included to push the playful, slightly “nerdy” styling direction further.

Makeup artist Savleen Manchanda kept the beauty look minimal with flushed cheeks and a soft coloured lip, while hairstylist Sourav Roy pulled her hair into a sleek bun.
Janhvi Kapoor has frequently been positioned as a muse for Miu Miu’s youthful, experimental styling.
Her wardrobe choices often blend preppy streetwear, Y2K references and occasional Indian fusion elements, making this look consistent with her evolving fashion identity.

Janhvi’s stylish look comes as her latest film Peddi faces criticism over the alleged objectification of her character.
Director Buchi Babu Sana responded to the criticism on X:
“We have heard the feedback regarding certain scenes in Peddi and have taken it seriously.”
“Cinema should entertain, inspire, and connect with audiences. It should never make anyone feel uncomfortable or disrespected.
“After reviewing the feedback, we have decided to make changes to the concerned portions.
“Cinema grows through its connection with audiences, and as storytellers, we have a responsibility to be mindful of evolving perspectives and sensitivities.”
