The Brahmastra trailer is finally here and it is packed with impressive visuals, over-the-top action, romance and drama.

The film is the first part of a trilogy that focuses on the story of Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor), a young man who is on the brink of love with Isha (Alia Bhatt).

But their world is turned upside down when Shiva learns that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmastra and a great power within that he doesn’t understand yet, the power of fire.

In the trailer, Amitabh Bachchan explains in a voiceover:

“Water, wind, fire. Since ancient times there exist among us energies which have been harnessed into Astras.

“This is a story about the lord of all the Astras – the Brahmastra, and about one young man who must discover that the destiny of the Brahmastra depends on him – Shiva.”

Shiva soon begins to discover his true calling as he is assisted by Guru (Amitabh) and Anish (Nagarjuna) to attain the Brahmastra for a better world.

The trailer also introduces Mouni Roy’s villainous Queen Of Darkness Junoon, who stands in Shiva’s way.

As Shiva tries to control the fire within, Junoon gathers her army.

She says: “We fight for just one goal – Brahmastra.”

Brahmastra is the beginning of India’s first original universe ‘The Astraverse’.

It is a new original cinematic universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from Indian history but set in the modern world, with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love and hope.

All is told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles.

In addition to the main cast, it is heavily rumoured that there will be a host of star cameos including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
