Ranbir Kapoor participated in an online Q&A session with fans, in which he answered their questions and shared his love with them.

The actor was asked about Brahmastra 2. He broke his silence on the project and revealed that it will be 10 times bigger.

Ranbir starred as Shiva in the first film, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022).

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie is the first part of a planned trilogy.

Ranbir delved into the next instalment. He said:

Brahmastra Part 2 is heavy into writing. We are working on it all the time.

“[Ayan] has gone 10 times bigger than Part 1.”

Ranbir Kapoor is also not oblivious to the criticisms aimed at Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva:

“We have really understood the kind of criticism we got for the film, what worked for it, and what didn’t work for it.

“We’ve taken everything into consideration, from the dialogue to Shiva and Isha’s chemistry where people thought there was something missing.”

In response to another fan’s question, Ranbir added:

“[Brahmastra] came from a very original place. That’s why it felt original.

“[Ayan] wanted to say something through the film. It’s going to be said over three parts.

“Thankfully, we’re in a place where we can make the second part.

“I do understand we didn’t absolutely kill it with Part One. We could have made it so much better.

“I think we’ve got some good constructive criticism to take the story forward and make it even more entertaining and greater.”

Despite the criticism, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva was a box-office success. It grossed over Rs. 431 Crore (£43 million).

Although there have been rumours of the second part starring other actors, Ranbir Kapoor’s comments suggested that he will be reprising his role in the subsequent films.
