"It's an extremely exciting project."

Ranbir Kapoor has several exciting projects coming up. However, there have not been major updates about them.

The star was recently at the 2024 Red Sea International Film Festival, where he sat down for an interview with Deadline Hollywood.

The host, Diana Lodderhose, asked him about his future films, including Animal Park – a sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Animal.

Animal featured Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh – a man who does extreme things in a blind devotion to his father.

Diana asked Ranbir: “Is that film in production at the moment?”

Ranbir replied: “The director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is now making another film. We should start in 2027.

“Sandeep wants to make this story over three parts. The second is called Animal Park.

“It’s very exciting because I now get to play two roles – the protagonist and the antagonist.

“It’s an extremely exciting project with an original director, and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”

Diana also quizzed Ranbir Kapoor about Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev. The film is an extension of Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022).

The fantasy drama starred Ranbir with Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Alia Bhatt. It was directed by Ayan Mukerji.

Delving into it, Ranbir revealed: “Part Two is currently in the writing stage.

“We haven’t announced the cast yet, but that’s also something that is very exciting.

“The first part was one of the first few films of that nature, especially for Indian cinema.

“We’ve explored ideas, but it has the potential to grow more in the coming parts.”

When asked if Alia would be seen in Part Two, Ranbir confirmed: “Of course, she will.”

Ranbir Kapoor also made rare admissions about his upcoming film Ramayanin which he will play the central role of Ram.

He said: “Ramayan is India’s greatest story. It’s produced by Namit Malhotra, who owns DNEG, which is a studio in Los Angeles and London.

“It’s made over two parts and is the story of Lord Ram and Ravan.”

“To say it to this generation with the technology we have is very exciting and gratifying.

“I’m also working on another film called Love & War. It’s back to the first filmmaker I worked with – Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

“I am working on that film with my wife Alia Bhatt and another very fine actor, Vicky Kaushal.”

With so many exciting projects, it is certainly a great time to be a fan of Ranbir Kapoor.
