“After a long break, Jal will be performing in Bangladesh again"
The renowned Pakistani band Jal is set to share the stage with Bangladeshi band Aurthohin in Dhaka on September 27, 2024.
It will commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut album in a concert aptly named ‘Legends of the Decade’.
The concert will not only feature Jal’s iconic songs but will also witness the long-awaited return of the Bangladeshi band Aurthohin.
It will mark a significant milestone in their journey back to the spotlight.
At the heart of Aurthohin’s comeback lies the inspiring story of their frontman and vocalist, Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon.
Sumon’s path has been marked by resilience and fortitude, as he navigated a challenging battle with cancer.
The singer also suffered from spinal injuries from a car accident and complications with his eyesight.
Despite these formidable obstacles, Sumon has persevered, undergoing surgeries and medical treatments with unwavering determination.
From his hospital bed in Bangkok, where he recently underwent surgeries on his legs and eyes, Sumon announced Aurthohin’s return to the stage.
This fulfilled a promise made to fans who are eager to witness their beloved band perform once again.
‘Legends of the Decade’ at Dhaka Arena in Purbachal will serve as the backdrop for Aurthohin’s triumphant return.
The excitement surrounding Aurthohin’s resurgence was palpable as the concert co-organiser, Get Set Rock, confirmed the band’s participation on their website.
They teased the fans with cryptic messages on social media heralding the band’s return.
Jal, set to perform in Dhaka for the second time, will add their signature melodies to the celebration.
The band will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their ground-breaking debut album Aadat, which was released on September 27, 2004.
Tickets for this musical event are already available for purchase on the Get Set Rock website.
The occasion will give fans the opportunity to witness a night filled with nostalgia, talent, and the indomitable spirit of these artists.
The founder and CEO of Assen Buzz, Ananda Chowdhury, stated:
“Jal’s popularity extends far beyond Bangladesh, as they are widely recognised across the subcontinent and internationally.”
“After a long break, Jal will be performing in Bangladesh again, and to make the event more special, Aurthohin will also be returning to the stage that same day.”
The concert, organised by Assen Buzz, Get Set Rock and Zirconium, promises to be a night to remember.
