Aurthohin, one of Bangladesh’s popular heavy metal bands, has officially confirmed the release of their next studio album.

The record, titled Phoenixer Diary 2, will be released on October 17, 2025, and marks their first full-length album in nearly three years.

As part of the rollout, the band dropped its first single, ‘Unmad’, on October 2, 2025,  giving fans a preview of the new sound.

In addition, a private listening session is scheduled for October 10, 2025, where selected listeners will experience the album before its launch.

Following the release, Aurthohin will head to the United States for a concert tour beginning in the final week of October.

The tour is expected to continue until mid-December, with performances across New York, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, Chicago, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts and Virginia.

Although exact dates and venues are yet to be announced, the group has confirmed appearances in at least a dozen American cities.

Manager Ehsanul Haq has emphasised that Phoenixer Diary 2 was carefully designed to connect both older followers and younger audiences.

He stated that the songs represent a deliberate mix of the band’s signature sound and elements meant to appeal to today’s listeners.

“We selected songs that speak to both our old supporters and today’s audiences.”

Aurthohin’s comeback is particularly significant for frontman Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon, known as BassBaba, who faced years of medical challenges.

Sumon underwent prolonged treatment for cancer as well as multiple spinal surgeries, forcing the band to delay projects and reduce appearances.

With his health reportedly stabilising, the band now intends to re-establish a consistent performance schedule at home and abroad.

The current Aurthohin lineup includes Sumon, drummer Mark Don and guitarist Ehtesham Ali, who will accompany him on the US tour.

For fans, the release of Phoenixer Diary 2 and the announcement of a major international tour symbolise more than a musical return.

It is being viewed as a powerful statement of endurance, highlighting the band’s determination to continue despite difficult circumstances.

Long-time listeners and new followers alike have expressed enthusiasm online, calling the announcement a revival of Bangladesh’s rock legacy.

A user said: “Finally, an album after so long.”

The tour’s final dates will be announced through the band’s official social platforms, alongside updates from the October 10 event.

Aurthohin’s album ‘Phoenixer Diary 2’ will be released on October 17, 2025, marking a defining chapter in the band’s ongoing journey.
