"I always try to win their hearts through my music.”
Sabina Yasmin and Moushumi Bhowmik will share the stage together in London.
The two veteran singers will take the stage on October 19, 2025, at the London Bangla Book Fair and Cultural Festival.
The festival is one of the largest annual events celebrating Bangla art, music, and literature abroad.
The highly anticipated performance will be held at the Mayfair Venue in Romford, East London.
It is expected to draw audiences from across the Bangladeshi and Bengali diaspora.
Organised by Udichi’s UK chapter in collaboration with several community organisations, this year’s event marks the sixteenth edition of the festival.
The day-long celebration will begin at noon with book launches, poetry recitations, and performances by young children.
The musical segment, featuring Yasmin and Bhowmik, will begin in the evening and continue until 10 pm.
Sabina Yasmin, one of Bangladesh’s most beloved singers, is scheduled to perform a selection of her timeless hits.
She will be accompanied by a team of musicians from both Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
This will include Chandan Dutta and Monowar Hossain Tutul, who have long been part of her live ensemble.
Moushumi Bhowmik, known for her soulful voice and introspective songwriting, will also perform several of her signature pieces that have earned her a loyal following across borders.
Together, the two singers are expected to create a nostalgic and emotionally charged evening.
Speaking before her departure from Dhaka, Sabina Yasmin expressed excitement about performing for audiences abroad once again.
She said: “When I perform outside Bangladesh, it feels like a part of my homeland is standing right in front of me.”
“The love and passion that people show for our songs fills me with gratitude.”
“I always try to win their hearts through my music.”
Sabina Yasmin will return to Dhaka on October 25, 2025, after the concert.
According to organisers, this year’s edition of the festival is designed to celebrate Bangla culture beyond borders.
They said that the musical collaboration between Yasmin and Bhowmik will be one of the most memorable highlights in the festival’s history.
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh, Bangla Academy, the Bangladesh High Commission in London, and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Over the years, it has become a symbol of cultural connection for Bengalis living overseas, combining literature, music, and community spirit under one roof.
For many fans, the chance to see Sabina Yasmin and Moushumi Bhowmik perform on one stage is nothing short of a rare musical treat.
