"This truly feels like the beginning."

Spotify has officially named Samar Jafri as its RADAR Pakistan artist for the final quarter of 2025, celebrating his rise as one of the country’s most promising young voices.

Known for his soulful tone and emotionally charged songwriting, Jafri has swiftly become a standout name in Pakistan’s evolving pop landscape.

His songs ‘Main Rahun’ and ‘Guzaarishein,’ both released in 2025, have already surpassed 23 million streams on Spotify.

‘Main Rahun’ alone has crossed 14 million plays, a testament to his growing reach and the emotional connection his music creates with listeners.

Spotify revealed that Jafri’s fan base is expanding far beyond Pakistan’s borders.

He has substantial audiences in Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

More than half of his listeners are aged between 18 and 24.

Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and the UAE, praised the young musician’s dedication.

She said: “Samar Jafri is a remarkable talent and a fitting choice to close out RADAR Pakistan Season 2025.

“We’re thrilled to spotlight his journey and help bring his voice to an even wider audience.”

The Mayi Ri actor shared his gratitude for the recognition, describing the moment as a dream come true after years of perseverance.

“As an independent artist, this truly feels like the beginning of something I’ve been dreaming about for years.

“I’ve been making music for over six years now, but it took a lot of time and courage to finally start putting out originals.

“Seeing that music connects with so many people, especially on a platform like Spotify, means everything. It’s overwhelming in the best way, and I’m so grateful for the love and support.”

He added: “I’ve always believed that God is with the patient, and this moment feels like a reminder of that.

“Being able to tell my story through Spotify RADAR is surely one of the highlights of this year for me.

“There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share it all with you.”

Spotify’s RADAR programme, a global artist development initiative, continues to champion new musicians by offering them global exposure, resources and creative platforms.

In Pakistan, the programme has already helped several rising artists build international audiences, reaffirming the country’s growing presence in the global music scene.

For Samar Jafri, this recognition adds another milestone to a multifaceted career that already spans acting and music production.
