“It feels wonderful to have a new film hitting cinemas"
Moushumi Hamid is excited to mark her return to the silver screen with the upcoming film Noya Manush.
After a long break from acting, she is thrilled that the film has received clearance from the Film Certification Board.
This project has had its share of ups and downs since filming began in 2022, with production finally wrapping up in April 2024.
The film, directed by Sohel Rana Boyati, will be released in November 2024.
In a recent interview, Moushumi expressed her eagerness for audiences to see her new project.
She said: “It feels wonderful to have a new film hitting cinemas after so long. I believe audiences will get to see a different side of me in Noya Manush.”
The film involved considerable hard work from the entire team, especially during the challenging shoots.
Noya Manush tells the poignant story of a group of people affected by the floods.
The actress recalled: “We had to travel there multiple times for filming, and the experience was both demanding and enriching.”
Moushumi highlighted the warmth of the char community, stating:
“I had the opportunity to observe their lives closely.
“They’re truly wonderful people, and their kindness will stay with me for a long time.”
She also praised her co-star Rawnak Hasan for his exceptional performance.
Moushumi also said that the director invested his heart and soul into the project.
She added: “For him, this film is a dream come true.”
As she looks forward to the film’s release, Moushumi Hamid expressed her gratitude to her fans.
The actress said: “The true heart of any film is its audience.
“I’m endlessly thankful for the support they’ve given me, and I urge everyone to watch the film in theatres.”
Beyond Noya Manush, Moushumi Hamid is keeping busy with other projects.
She recently completed filming for a musical set against the stunning backdrops of Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar, directed by Tasnova Tabassum Atoshi.
Although the title is still being finalised, she shared her enthusiasm for the storyline and the breath-taking locations.
Moushumi recalled: “We were completely immersed in nature while filming, and the experience was incredible.”
The actress is also set to begin shooting a new television series in November 2024.
Additionally, she has been actively involved in OTT projects, with several performances receiving positive feedback.
She hinted at more exciting content on the way: “There’s a good chance I’ll be working on something new for OTT soon. I’m hopeful it will be something special.”
