Shalini Passi walked out of an interview after being labelled an “easy girl”, sparking online discussion.
The artist emerged as a highlight on the third season of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.
She joined the cast along with Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima Sahni and Kalyani Chawla.
During the show, Shalini was part of the Delhi group but due to her antics, she became the subject of attention.
Her group began resenting her for getting a lot of attention. Meanwhile, the Mumbai group said she was entertaining.
After the series premiere, audiences were eager to uncover more details about Shalini.
But during a promotional interview, she walked out, leaving co-stars Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh, Maheep Kapoor, Riddhima Sahni, and Kalyani Chawla stunned.
During the Galatta India interview, Riddhima pointed towards Shalini and said:
“Behind this diva and everything, this girl is a total vibe. She is a chiller. She’s a really nice person. She is a very easy girl. She is somebody you can talk to.
“Of course, Kalyani is amazing, but she is a very giving person, which is an amazing quality about Shalini.”
When the interviewer said he agreed with Riddhima’s comments, Shalini got up and said:
“I need a break.”
Appearing emotional, she told the others: “You girls continue.”
As things grew awkward, Maheep Kapoor quipped:
“Should we be rolling on Season 4?”
Bhavana Pandey added: “I think it was what you (Kalyani Saha) said, that she wants attention, and then everyone laughed!”
Earlier in the interview, Kalyani was talking when Shalini got up to fix her dress.
Kalyani said: “When I am talking Shalini has to get up and get attention to herself because she is not getting attention!”
Shalini Passi later returned to join her fellow cast members, seemingly having been crying.

On Reddit, many sided with Shalini and claimed she was being bullied.
One said: “I think everyone including the host handled it poorly.
“Shalini was being bullied throughout – she isn’t stupid. Even when they are complimenting her it is a backhanded compliment.
“And after she goes all of them laugh like donkeys to get over the embarrassment.
“The only sensible one seems to be Bhavana who can read a room and the worst (and I hate to say this coz I love Ranbir) is Riddhima.”
Another agreed: “They’ve been bullying her non-stop. They’re so transparent about being jealous of her.
“A lot of celebrities have a hard time with press junkets as it is. She probably just needed a moment to compose herself. It’s not easy to be targeted the way they target her.”
A third added:
“These women are so vile. They cannot tolerate that Shalini is getting more attention and love from everyone.”
Others wondered if the moment was scripted, with one commenting:
“Everything these 7 women are doing (in the show and promotions) is scripted down to the last bit and is well curated.
“I can’t believe people are falling for this s**t and psychoanalysing everything as if it’s true.”
