"This is a long-awaited dream come true."
Two of South Asia’s most celebrated rock icons, Ali Azmat and Nagar Baul James, are set to share the stage in Dhaka for the very first time.
The historic concert, titled ‘Legends Live in Dhaka,’ will be held on November 14, 2025, at the United Convention Centre.
Organised by ASSEN Communications, the event will unite music lovers from both Bangladesh and Pakistan under one roof for an unforgettable evening.
This marks a rare moment in South Asian music, bringing together the powerhouse vocals of Junoon’s Ali Azmat and the magnetic stage presence of James.
Both artists have shaped the musical identities of their nations, with their influence extending far beyond borders and generations.
Mukesh Goala, Senior Strategic Planner at ASSEN Communications, said that the audience’s response has been overwhelming and full of energy.
He shared that ticket sales have already surpassed expectations, adding that the concert could become one of Dhaka’s most memorable live events.
Organisers have confirmed that extensive arrangements are being made to ensure a seamless concert experience for all attendees.
From high-end sound systems to international-grade lighting and security, every aspect is being handled with precision and care.
Ali Azmat, the legendary voice behind Junoon, continues to represent the golden era of Pakistani Sufi-rock music.
His powerful vocals and poetic lyricism, featured in songs like ‘Sayonee’ and ‘Khudi’, defined the sound of an entire generation.
After leaving Junoon, Azmat launched his solo career with Social Circus in 2006, continuing to experiment with his distinct musical style.
James, on the other hand, remains one of Bangladesh’s most beloved rock musicians, admired for his unique blend of blues and folk.
Known for unforgettable hits such as ‘Guru Ghor Banaila Ki Diya’, ‘Pagla Hawa’, and ‘Dushto Cheler Dol’, James continues to captivate crowds.
His ability to connect with audiences of all ages has made him a symbol of Bangladeshi rock’s evolution over the decades.
This concert marks Ali Azmat’s third visit to Bangladesh, following his performances at the Dhaka International Folk Fest in 2019.
Fans from both countries have expressed immense excitement over the collaboration.
One user said: “This is a long-awaited dream come true.”
The event will run from 6 pm to 11 pm, with doors opening an hour earlier for attendees.

Organisers have urged concertgoers to arrive early to avoid delays and to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime musical event fully.
Both Ali Azmat and Nagar Baul James have influenced generations through their music.
