Indian Mother kills Husband with Poison to Elope with Lover

An Indian mother identified as Simran Kaur allegedly murdered her husband by poisoning him at their home in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab.

She also strangled 35-year-old Rajpreet Singh with a rope to ensure that he was dead. Kaur later ran away with her lover.

The suspect is the mother of two children. It is believed that the murder took place on the night of Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

Kaur had prepared dinner for her family, but she laced her husband’s serving with a poisonous substance. They then had dinner.

After their children, Navneet Kaur, aged 11, and Manmeet Singh, aged nine, went to their rooms, Kaur took a rope and allegedly choked Rajpreet with it.

It is believed that Kaur strangled her husband with the rope until he went unconscious.

She then dropped her children off at her father-in-law’s house before eloping with her lover. However, they were aware of what happened.

Kaur had been married to Rajpreet for 12 years and had two children.

However, soon after their marriage, Kaur began having an affair with a man named Lovepreet Singh from Punjab’s Palasaur village.

Her family knew about the affair and tried to stop it. They constantly reminded Kaur about the future of her children but she continued to see Lovepreet.

The alleged murder came to light when her children told her grandfather that Kaur had choked their father with a rope.

When they arrived, Rajpreet was found with a rope tied around his neck and foaming at the mouth.

He was taken to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar in a critical condition where he later died.

Following their father’s death, the children demanded strict action against their mother. They wanted their mother to receive the death penalty for her actions.

After Rajpreet’s father filed an official police complaint, a case was registered against the Indian mother and her lover.

According to the police, she resorted to killing her husband so that she could be with her lover.

Police officers are investigating the whereabouts of Kaur and her lover and are conducting raids in order to arrest them.

There have been a number of cases where a woman has killed her family members in order to be with her lover.

In May 2019, a woman named Pooja was arrested for murdering her two daughters as she saw them as an obstacle in her relationship with her lover.
