"It was super exciting, and you are just so handsome to look at."
India’s Praveen Prajapat left the audience in awe with his balancing act on America’s Got Talent.
Originally from Rajasthan, Praveen explained that his father had taught him the mysterious act when he was around 10 years old.
He told the judges that his dream is to perform around the world.
Praveen said: “I have trained two or three hours every day for the last 10 years just for this moment.”
He then stacked four glasses of water and a pot on top of each other on his head.
Praveen also stood on one leg and hopped around in a circle all while balancing the items.
He upped the ante by increasing the number of glasses.
Praveen’s act earned a huge round of applause from the audience.
But the judges had differing views, with Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel giving him a standing ovation while Simon Cowell remained seated and clapped.
Heidi was the biggest fan, saying: “I love that you bring us a little taste of your beautiful country here to America and it was just beautiful to watch.
“It was super exciting, and you are just so handsome to look at.”
Howie declared: “We’ve never seen anything like this before.”
An impressed Sofia added: “It’s so difficult to do what you were doing.
“It was definitely one of the most amazing acts I’ve seen on AGT.
“I think you’re gonna do very well in this competition.”
But Simon was sceptical about how Praveen would impress everyone in the later rounds.
He said: “OK, well, look, I thought it was pretty amazing. I’m just wondering what would you do next?”
In response, Praveen said he could balance four LPG gas cylinders and 101 pots on his head.
But Simon remained unconvinced, concluding:
“I like you very, very much. However, I’m gonna be honest, that didn’t excite me enough, so I’m gonna say no.”
Heidi hit back: “What are you talking about?”
The other two judges sided with the German-American model and gave Praveen a “big, fat yes”.
Despite Praveen’s success on America’s Got Talent, he is not new to reality TV. He previously appeared on India’s Got Talent 9.
Additionally, 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishral surprised the judges and audience on America’s Got Talent a few days ago with her singing performance.
She performed her rendition of Tina Turner’s ‘River Deep – Mountain High’.
Pranysqa’s audition impressed everyone and Heidi ended up hitting the Golden Buzzer.
