But the situation took a unique turn when one of the guests suggested for a boy from the village to get married instead.
After consent was given by both sets of families, the new groom got dressed quickly and got married two hours later.
The marriage took place on February 25, 2020. Guests were making their way to the venue while the groom and his family were getting ready at the house.
However, one hour before the wedding, the groom said he had to go out, claiming that he had to run an errand.
When he did not return, his family became concerned. They tried calling him but his phone was switched off.
A friend managed to speak to the groom where he admitted that he did not want to get married. The friend then informed the groom’s parents.
The bride’s family were at the venue waiting. When her father, Chaudhary Saheb, called the groom’s parents to find out what the delay was about, he was shocked to learn that there would be no procession.
Despite receiving an apology, Saheb was angered and he stated that he has been cheated.
Saheb went on to say that if the groom said he did not want to get married earlier, he would not have been so insulted.
The bride’s father did not know what to do until a guest said that another man could get married instead.
Arrangements were made and the bride got married to the Indian groom just two hours later.
In an equally bizarre incident, a groom from Madhya Pradesh was on his way to his wedding when he decided to elope with his girlfriend.
On the day of the wedding, the young man took a bus from Bhopal to Agra. After getting off the bus, he realised that he didn’t want to get married to the woman.
He managed to meet his girlfriend in the city and the two lovers ran away.
Meanwhile, the bride and her family were at the wedding venue, waiting for the groom. They patiently waited but when there was no baraat procession, the family became concerned.
The family decided to call the Indian groom where he admitted to running off with his girlfriend.
They were shocked and angered by his admission. It also left them with the problem of what was going to happen to the wedding.
The family were disappointed but at that point, a young man from the city of Etawah decided to propose to the young woman.
