Actress Huma Qureshi has effectively confirmed her relationship with rumoured boyfriend Rachit Singh through a warm Instagram post.
The post has been widely described online as a “hard launch” of their relationship after months of speculation.
Huma shared photographs of Rachit alongside a lengthy and deeply personal note reflecting on his journey, patience and years of work behind the scenes.
She described the most admirable thing about him as the years he spent helping other actors succeed while quietly waiting for his own opportunity.
In her note, Huma recalled that when she first met Rachit, what stood out to her was not just his talent but something deeper.
She wrote about “his patience and his quiet grit,” describing him as someone whose character revealed itself gradually over time.
Huma described Rachit as “A small-town boy from Banaras” who arrived in Mumbai carrying the same dream that brings so many young people to the city.
She acknowledged that success did not come quickly for him, but emphasised that he remained committed to his craft regardless.
“He stayed. He worked. He learned. He evolved.”
She went on to reveal that for more than a decade, Rachit had played a significant role in helping other actors find their own truth.
According to Huma, he coached, mentored and trained performers who would later go on to become stars in their own right.
Throughout that period, he continued working in rehearsal rooms, workshops and behind the camera, often without recognition.
“And that’s what I admire most about him.”
Huma concluded her note by emphasising that Rachit never stopped believing that his moment would eventually arrive, however long it took.
She described his rise as one built on “No shortcuts. No entitlement. Just hard work, consistency and faith in his craft.”
“This isn’t an overnight success story. Now the stage is yours, Siddhu.”
Rachit responded to the post in the comments section with a playful and grateful tone that matched the warmth of Huma’s message:
“Thank you, Humi, for hard-launching me. Hahaha.”
Referring to their bond and their shared work together, he wrote:
“And for the Saleem siblings, there’s only one thing left to say: We’ll always Do Die Do together.”
The exchange comes after months of speculation surrounding their relationship, fuelled by repeated public sightings of the two together.
Rumours had first begun after singer Akasa Singh shared a picture of the pair and congratulated Huma on her “little piece of heaven.”
Speculation intensified further when Huma and Rachit arrived together at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding celebrations in coordinated outfits.
The two were also later seen together at a screening of Thamma and at a Himesh Reshammiya concert, adding to the growing buzz.
A previous HT City report had quoted a source claiming the two had been together for some time and that Rachit had proposed to Huma in the US.
According to that report, the proposal took place in an intimate setting, and Huma Qureshi had said yes to the proposal.
