Amir Khan and wife Faryal Makhdoom have revealed that they are expecting their third child together.
The British boxer and his wife took to Instagram to announce the news with a gender reveal video. They told their fans that they are going to be parents to a baby boy.
The couple already has two daughters. Lamaisah is five while Alayna is 16 months.
In the video, a happy Faryal said: “Guys, we’re expecting our third child. We are so excited and nervous.”
Amir, wearing a boxing glove, then punched the black balloon which burst open to reveal blue confetti for a baby boy.
The happy couple cheered and hugged as they celebrated the upcoming arrival of their first son.
Amir and Faryal have been through some ups and downs but Khan stated that his wife always manages to find a solution.
During Faryal’s birthday, Amir showed their marriage was back on track by lavishing her with designer gifts.
He had carried two massive Chanel gift bags. Inside them was a pale grey leather padded bag with a chain strap, while the other was a similar style bag in a deep tan colour.
Amir let his wife know how appreciated she was by saying he bought the gifts as she was a “great wife and mother”.
Faryal’s pregnancy comes a few months after the couple held a lavish first birthday party for daughter Alayna. It was a jungle-themed celebration which cost £75,000.
They were slammed for their “exuberant spending”, mostly by Amir Khan’s father Shah.
He had said: “An awful lot of money was spent on the party and I feel it could have been better used. It seems a bit excessive to me.
“Every parent wants the best for their kids but what Amir has spent is quite ridiculous.”
However, Faryal insisted that the party was only fair as they previously held an equally extravagant party for Lamaisah.
The couple has been married for eight years after tying the knot in 2013.
They briefly split in 2017 following a very public feud between the two families. Khan had announced the split on Twitter which read:
“So me and the wife Faryal have agreed to split. I’m currently in Dubai. Wish her all the best.”
They rekindled their marriage when Faryal was pregnant with their second child.
Since then they have been taking steps to strengthen their marriage. With the announcement of the third child, their marriage can only get stronger.
