Boxer Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom have welcomed a second child into the world!
Born on 24th April 2018, weighing 8lbs and 3oz, their baby girl has been named Alayna Khan.
Khan made the announcement on his Instagram page where he shared a sweet picture of himself and his newborn.
Little Alayna is already a promising fashionista as she is dressed in a leopard print babygrow and matching hat complete with red ruffles.
He captioned the adorable picture: “Welcome to the world. With my and @faryalmakhdoom new born, Weighing 8lbs 3oz ALAYNA KHAN.”
The happy arrival comes just days after Amir’s incredible comeback in the boxing ring following a gap of two years.
The fight which saw him up against Phil Lo Greco lasted only 40 seconds as Khan delivered powerful blows that knocked Lo Greco to the floor.
Now Khan has yet another reason to celebrate, with the arrival of his second daughter.
Khan’s wife of nearly five years Faryal initially announced her second pregnancy in August 2017. At the time, she and Amir were undergoing considerable marital problems and were rumoured to have split.
During this turbulent period, Faryal had even suggested that she would raise her newborn alone.
Amidst reports of Amir’s alleged cheating and compatibility concerns with Faryal’s in-laws, the duo finally overcame their personal issues and reunited to celebrate the Faryal’s pregnancy.
Over the last few months, Faryal has been enjoying her pregnancy with regular updates on her social media accounts, particularly on Snapchat and Instagram.
In addition, Amir even appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here where he left a lasting impression on both his Jungle-mates and viewers at home.
Khan, who spends much of his time in between his hometown Bolton and the US, is now gearing up for two more fights, although his next opponent is yet to be confirmed.
For now, Amir can enjoy the new addition to his family. The couple already has a 3-year-old daughter called Lamaisah who was born on 23rd May 2014.
