The estrangement of Faryal Makhdoom and Amir Khan has taken another dramatic turn following their very public split at the beginning of August 2017.
Faryal Makhdoom has since revealed that she is pregnant with Amir’s second child. According to The Sun, Faryal will be raising her unborn baby alone.
Faryal made the shock announcement on her social media channels on Saturday 26th August. She tweeted: “Alhumdulilah , blessed with baby number 2 in my tummy #excited eating away, can’t stop.”

She also revealed the happy news on Snapchat, by saying: “I’ve been waiting to announce something very special …. Alhumdulilah, I am pregnant with my second child. Time for me to get fat and chunkayyyy.”
This is the second child of the former couple who split only weeks ago in a bitter Twitter feud.
Amir accused his wife of cheating on him with fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua. This later turned out to be false, as Amir had in fact been sent fake messages of the pair.
At the time of the intense Twitter spat, Anthony himself stepped in. He denied all the allegations, insisting that he had never even met Faryal.
According to some reports, Amir later publicly apologised to Anthony after being contacted by the boxer’s lawyers. Yet, despite the mix-up, he seems adamant that his marriage with Faryal is well and truly over.
Since their breakup, the couple reportedly even contacted a Birmingham ‘holy man’ for counselling. But this does not appear to have led to a reconciliation between the two.
Amir has spent most of his time back in San Francisco where he is currently training. However, it remains unknown whether he was aware of the pregnancy news.
When Faryal Makhdoom made her announcement, the British-Asian boxer was in Las Vegas with his father and brother Harry. He shared images of them watching the Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather fight:
Whether or not Amir knew of the news before Faryal’s public announcement, The Sun has reported that she intends to raise her unborn baby alone. Without the help of her ex.
A source told The Sun that she allegedly said to her friends: “I don’t need help.”
They added: “Faryal’s announcement came as a shock to everyone involved but she doesn’t want anything more from Amir now.
“They’re back on speaking terms, trying to keep everything civilised for the sake of their daughter and extended families, but the relationship is finished.
“She has told him she will happily bring up their new child without his support, and the divorce is going ahead.
“She’s a strong woman — and the pregnancy isn’t going to change that.”
Following the public split, Faryal Makhdoom has often alluded to her breakup. Particularly through motivational quotes on her Instagram page.
She recently posted a mirror selfie for fans, which was captioned: “Been Low. But I promise I’m reading all your comments & love. I miss you guys #instafamily I see you x.”
Amir, in comparison, tweeted a picture of his first child, Lamaisah, mentioning how much he misses her:

It seems then the developments of Amir and Faryal’s split are far from over. With a second child on the way, many will wait to hear from the British-Asian boxer on the news.
