Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi have been in the spotlight due to a misunderstanding over a meme.

The meme, shared by a Wahaj Ali fan page, praised Yumna’s versatility in forming chemistry with her co-stars. It likened her to a potato that pairs well with everyone.

In the post, there were four images of Yumna with four different men that she had an on-screen relationship with.

Those men included Wahaj Ali, Azan Sami Khan, Humayun Saeed and Feroze Khan.

The meme read: “Just like a potato, Yumna fits with everyone.”

Wahaj Ali defended Yumna and called for the post to be removed.

He said: “Please remove this post, if you are my admirer then you should respect my friends/colleagues/family.”

The admin replied to Wahaj: “It is not good that you unfollowed me. I would have deleted the post but I was offline at that time.”

This clarified that Wahaj had been following this fan page and had decided to unfollow it due to this post.

The fan page’s admin then refused to delete the post, insisting that no disrespect was intended.

Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the matter.

One user said: “Wahaj Ali needs to relax, it was just a harmless meme!”

Another added: “The potato comparison was a light-hearted way to praise Yumna’s versatility, no need to get defensive!”

One wrote: “I don’t see what the big deal is, it’s just a meme! I think Wahaj did not understand that it was not disrespect, it was Yumna’s praise.”

Another commented: “Wahaj Ali’s response was uncalled for, the meme was meant in good fun.”

One suggested:

“Wahaj Ali should focus on his own projects instead of getting worked up over a meme.”

Others supported Wahaj Ali’s stance.

One said: “It is a little disrespectful. It is not good to say that a woman can fit with every man. Yumna Zaidi is a talented actress and deserves respect.”

Another wrote: “Wahaj Ali is right, we should respect his friends and colleagues.”

One remarked: “This is true friendship!”

Another stated: “Wahaj is so possessive of his friends and family. It is so cute.”

Many users urged the admin to remove the post.

One user said: “You should remove the post because Wahaj himself asked you to. If you love him, then you should do it.”
