A video from the event, shared on Instagram, showed a massive crowd surging towards the stars as the situation rapidly escalated.
Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika could be seen struggling to move through the venue as fans pushed forward in large numbers.
According to reports and onlookers present at the event, the promotional session had to be cut short after fans broke through the barricades.
Amid the resulting chaos, Shahid appeared visibly frustrated as he attempted to navigate his way through the densely packed crowd.
However, it was a moment featuring Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna that quickly captured the attention and admiration of online viewers.
Kriti was seen holding on tightly to Rashmika and shielding her from the pushing crowd as security worked to escort them out safely.
Throughout the ordeal, Kriti remained visibly alert and focused, carefully guiding Rashmika through the sea of fans surrounding them.

Cocktail 2 is helmed by Homi Adajania and is being positioned as a spiritual sequel to the beloved 2012 hit Cocktail.
The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles and revolves around a love triangle at its emotional core.
The story follows Shahid’s character as he finds himself having to choose between the two women in his life.
During the trailer launch, director Homi Adajania addressed rumours that had circulated suggesting the film was secretly a lesbian love story.
He explained the origin of those rumours with characteristic candour and humour during the conversation with the media at the launch event.
“This is where the rumour came from. We were all sitting on the set.
“They definitely get a little cuddly with each other because they are friends.”
“And we just hypothetically thought, what if the story was about them and Shahid was the third wheel?
“And I said I wouldn’t mind making a movie like that.”
Cocktail 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on June 19, 2026, and the promotional tour is expected to continue across more cities.
