"It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent"
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has extended his support to Shah Rukh Khan after his son Aryan was arrested.
Aryan was questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in relation to a drugs case. He was later arrested.
Now, Hansal Mehta has offered his support to Shah Rukh.
The Shahid director took to Twitter and said that people coming to conclusions before allowing the authorities to take its course is “disrespectful and unfair”.
He wrote: “It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble.
“It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgments before the law takes its course.
“It is disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship. With you @srk.”

Aryan was arrested after NCB officials raided an alleged party on a cruise ship.
During the raid, which was led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede, officials seized several drugs including cocaine, MDMA and Mephedrone.
Alongside Aryan, the NCB took eight other people, including Munmun Dhamecha, and Arbaaz Merchant into custody.
On October 4, 2021, Aryan appeared in court where his lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said:
“He did not have a boarding pass. He didn’t have any seats or cabins there.
“Secondly, according to the seizure, nothing has been found in his possession.”
“He is arrested only based on chats.”
While Mr Maneshinde called for his client to be released on bail, the NCB sought for the 23-year-old to be remanded in custody until October 11, 2021.
Meanwhile, several celebrities have shown support towards Shah Rukh Khan.
Salman Khan visited SRK’s house while Suchitra Krishnamoorthi claimed that Bollywood celebrities are easy targets for the authorities.
She went on to say that several NCB raids took place in 2020, however, they yielded no results.
Suniel Shetty offered his support.
He had said: “These are mere speculations. I think no such reports have come from anywhere.
“Unfortunately, Bollywood’s name is always dragged into such things. I think we have seen many such instances and we have managed it well.
“So, we pray that everything is good and let’s not speculate.”
He went on to urge people to give Aryan a break. Suniel added:
“The fact is, whenever there’s a raid, many people are taken. We assume that this child has consumed something, or this child has done that.
“The investigation is underway. Let’s give that child a breather.”
