The reunion will bring two of Bollywood’s biggest stars back together
Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly set to reunite with Shah Rukh Khan for a special track in his upcoming action film King, marking their first on-screen collaboration in 15 years.
Reports say Kareena has signed on for a special appearance in the Siddharth Anand-directed film. She is expected to join Shah Rukh Khan for a high-energy song titled ‘Daddy Cool’.
The reunion will bring two of Bollywood’s biggest stars back together after previously sharing the screen in films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Don.
Kareena is reportedly travelling to South Africa later in October 2026 to film the sequence. She has allegedly allocated five days for the shoot, which is expected to be mounted on a large scale.
The track is reportedly being composed by musical duo Sachin-Jigar and will feature an international collaboration. While the identity of the international singer has not yet been revealed, the song is expected to combine Indian and global musical influences.
The sequence is also said to showcase Shah Rukh and Kareena in different looks and avatars, adding another major attraction to the already highly anticipated film.
King has generated significant attention since its announcement, particularly because it marks Shah Rukh’s next major action project following the success of Pathaan and Jawan.
The film features Shah Rukh alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.
Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Rani Mukerji are also part of the reported ensemble cast.
Siddharth Anand is directing and co-writing King, with Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand producing the film under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
The film’s promotional campaign is also reportedly being planned around Shah Rukh’s birthday on November 2.
The makers are expected to release a new asset from King around the occasion, potentially giving audiences another glimpse at the highly anticipated project.
With Kareena’s reported special appearance adding another major Bollywood name to the film, King is shaping up to be one of the year’s most closely watched releases.
The reported appearance is expected to add another major highlight to the Siddharth Anand-directed actioner, which has already attracted attention for its star-studded cast.
The reunion is likely to generate excitement among fans, particularly given the pair’s previous appearances together in some of Bollywood’s most memorable films.
