Goher Mumtaz has returned to the music scene with a relaxed new single titled ‘Har Saal’, featuring singer Aima Baig in a first-time standalone collaboration.

The song marks a notable moment for Mumtaz, as it also brings his band Jal into the project.

Written and composed by Mumtaz himself, ‘Har Saal’ carries a breezy, pop-driven sound that prioritises chemistry over grandeur.

The announcement was understated yet effective, with Mumtaz sharing a simple Instagram caption that read:

“Aima Baig x Goher Mumtaz x JAL.”

The accompanying music video, produced under Goher Mumtaz Productions, avoids spectacle and instead focuses on intimacy and creative ease.

It opens with Mumtaz seated at a keyboard, experimenting with a tune that he soon abandons in visible mild frustration.

He then switches to his guitar, a familiar space for the Jal frontman, signalling a return to comfort and creative flow.

At that precise moment, Aima Baig enters the frame, mid orange juice pour, effortlessly joining the melody with approval.

From there, the video unfolds into a series of warm exchanges, showing the two artists singing and jamming together naturally.

Their interactions feel unguarded and playful, almost like lovebirds, matching the song’s lighthearted romantic energy throughout.

Rather than relying on elaborate sets, the visuals focus on mood, body language, and the organic rhythm between performers.

The pop-forward tune never strains for attention, instead letting its catchiness grow gradually through repetition and harmony.

Two weeks before the official release, the duo offered fans a glimpse into the project through a short teaser trailer.

The trailer opened with the line, “Some stories are told in harmony,” capturing the emotional tone of the song succinctly.

That single sentence hinted at the soft romance and ease that would later define the full music video experience.

Although ‘Har Saal’ marks their first independent collaboration, this is not the first time Baig and Mumtaz have sung together.

In 2024, Mumtaz starred opposite Kubra Khan in his film Abhi, which featured a musically rich and diverse soundtrack.

The film included vocal contributions from Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tanya Wells, Baig, Nish Asher, and Mumtaz himself.

Multi-instrumentalists Leo Twins were also involved in shaping the film’s musical direction and layered soundscape.

Within that project, Baig and Mumtaz lent their voices to the song ‘Saathiya’, which received a positive audience response.

Goher Mumtaz had shared an insight into Aima Baig’s involvement. He said:

“All the songs picturised on Kubra have been sung by Aima.”

With ‘Har Saal’, that professional overlap has moved beyond cinema, evolving into a creative partnership rooted in musical synergy.

Fans have welcomed the track warmly, appreciating its simplicity, chemistry, and the nostalgic Jal influence woven throughout.
