Pakistani singer Aima Baig has urged her fans to cut toxic people out of their lives following a painful accidental facial injury.
The singer shared that she had accidentally slammed her face into a glass door, leaving her with significant swelling and a large bruise around her eye.
She addressed her followers in a lengthy video recorded at around 4.30 am, explaining the incident.
The singer thanked those who had reached out to check on her.
Showing her injury to the camera, Baig said:
“I just slammed my face in a glass door.
“The situation is not good. There’s a lot of swelling.”
She explained that she had been looking in another direction when she turned and failed to notice the glass directly in front of her path.
The impact caused a brief blackout due to the intensity of the pain, leaving her shaken.
She said: “I have never had such a big bruise in my life.
“I have never had such a big injury in my life.”
Baig also made a point of addressing her followers directly after some expressed concern about the nature and cause of the injury:
“It’s nothing like that, brothers and sisters.
“I just turned around, and I didn’t see the glass in front of me.”
She revealed that she had been icing the affected area and asked her followers to pray for the swelling and pain to subside.
However, the most emotionally charged part of Baig’s video was not about the injury itself but about the support she received.
She became visibly emotional while discussing the people who had unexpectedly checked on her.
“The people who you have expectations with, they are nowhere to be found.”
The singer then delivered a heartfelt and direct message to her audience, encouraging them to re-evaluate the people they keep close:
“Cut out those people who are big red flags.”
“Who don’t support you in your grief. Who don’t support you in your illness.
“Who don’t support you in your weakness. Who don’t support you in your most vulnerable state.”
Baig also took time to express genuine gratitude toward the fans and followers who had showered her with concern:
“I was very happy that you guys were here for me. You guys gave me blessings. And you guys gave me happiness.”
