Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan have led Bollywood tributes to country music legend Dolly Parton, who passed away aged 80 after a short battle with cancer.
Her death was confirmed by her family and representatives, with reports stating she died in Nashville surrounded by loved ones.
The news prompted an outpouring of tributes for Parton, who was celebrated not only for her extraordinary music career but also for her warmth, humour and philanthropy.
Priyanka Chopra paid tribute to the country music icon, sharing a clip from one of Parton’s past interviews on her Instagram Stories.
Alongside the clip, she wrote: “You’re never going anywhere… forever with us… rest in peace #DollyParton.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared a series of Instagram Stories honouring Parton, using quotes from the singer to reflect on her legacy.
One of the posts featured a quote attributed to Parton: “Make a list of the things you love about yourself. Now, it can be big or small. Like, I cook a mean chicken pot pie. Or, I’m a great mom! And if you tell yourself enough nice things, eventually, you’ll believe them. DOLLY PARTON.”
Above the quote, Kareena wrote: “My Girl, Love you forever You Diva.”
In another Story, Kareena shared another quote from the singer, which read:
“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain.”
Kareena reacted: “Ufff Queen things.”
Kareena described Dolly Parton as a “leader forever”, as she shared a third quote:
“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, then you are an excellent leader.”

The Reel featured Dolly Parton on Hannah Montana, which starred the late singer’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus.
