In upcoming episodes of EastEnders, Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) will fall prey to a deadly scheme.
Recent instalments of the show saw Vinny’s father, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), plan revenge against Vinny.
This was after a dying Nish discovered that Vinny was planning to take over his fortune after he died.
The young man was in cahoots with his mother and Nish’s ex-wife, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
On September 18, 2024, viewers saw Suki hold a birthday party for Vinny.
Nish attended the party with a heartfelt gift for Vinny in the form of his father’s pendant.
However, Suki told Vinny that Nish was simply trying to buy his affection and warned him not to get sentimental.
Vinny reluctantly threw the pendant into the bin. This move devastated Nish and reaffirmed his revenge plan against his son.
The audience of EastEnders has already seen Nish discover that his chicken shops were being investigated by undercover police.
This was because Nish was using the shops to launder money.
To save himself from legal consequences, Nish gave the chicken shops to Vinny, assigning him as the owner.
Suki was shocked at Nish’s decision and questioned why he gave Vinny the chicken shops.
Nish responded that his partner Harti (Jason Kavan) would be facing repercussions if the law caught up to him.
He said: “What do you think Harti is for? He’s the perfect fall guy.
“I assure you, I’m not handing Vinny a poisoned chalice.”
However, in upcoming scenes of EastEnders, Suki will be horrified when she learns that Vinny has gone to meet Harti and that Nish has tipped off the police, who are waiting to arrest Vinny.
Suki will phone Vinny and order him back. Vinny returns, and Suki implores him to leave the Square.
However, later, Vinny finds himself in a taxi, in danger. Who is behind the wheel?
Suki panics when she can’t get hold of Vinny. Will he be okay?
On September 15, 2024, it was reported that Navin Chowdhry was set to leave EastEnders after over two years in the role of Nish.
A source said: “It’s not known if Nish will be killed off, even though his health is suffering.
“But expect the exit to be very impactful and dramatic.”
“Navin has made quite the impact on the show in the two years he has been a part of it, especially as a key part of the huge Christmas storyline with The Six.
“He’ll be missed by cast, crew and viewers alike.”
Could the drama surrounding Vinny’s predicament be the starting point of Nish’s exit?
One thing is for certain – the audience can expect lots of drama.
