"Just bought my family a holiday home in Dubai."
Amir Khan has revealed his new Dubai holiday mansion. The purchase comes one month after he said he was considering buying a new holiday home.
The boxer shared photos of himself standing outside the property before showing his social media followers the inside of the mansion.
It has a huge wooden front door which is surrounded by a giant stone porch.
Inside, it comes fitted with marble floors, a modern stone staircase and an extensive lounge-diner.
However, the outside is the most impressive as the swimming pool boasts stunning views of the Dubai landscape.
Amir revealed that he bought the house for his wife Faryal Makhdoom and their three children, Lamaisah, Alayna and Muhammad Zaviyar.
He captioned the post: “Just bought my family a holiday home in Dubai.”
Amir thanked his friend and founder of UAE-based firm New Door Maaz Jethwa for finding his “perfect” home.
He said: “Thanks to Maaz Jethwa for finding me my perfect place.”
While some of his social media followers sent messages of congratulations, others criticised Amir Khan for flaunting his wealth during a pandemic.
One person said: “Why do you need to post on here when times are so tough for so many people? Have respect for families that can’t even afford to eat.”
Another wrote: “No need to share it on here for validation, Amir. That’s just feeding your ego.
“I’m sure your family are grateful, and will in time tell you so.”
One commented:
“Be humble in these times and think about those who are less privileged.”
One netizen said: “You need to lay off social media for a bit brother all you do is brag about things you have just bought or places you go. Stay humble.”
The matter has caused even more controversy after Faryal shockingly revealed that she had lost her sense of taste before flying to Dubai.
A loss of taste and smell is one of the main symptoms of Covid-19. Those displaying symptoms should not fly and should self-isolate.
Faryal took part in an Instagram Q&A with fans. She said:
“I lost about six pounds, it’s driving me nuts.”
One person then asked: “How did you lose six pounds?”
Faryal replied: “Because I’ve not been properly eating. Because I couldn’t taste anything for about like two-and-a-half weeks.”
She never stated how long ago this happened or if she has had a Covid-19 test but she is currently in Dubai with Amir after the boxer purchased their holiday home.
