The incident took place in Palimukim Pur village when 28-year-old Bablu went to meet his friends soon after his marriage.

His friends, already in an inebriated state, demanded more liquor from him, but the victim expressed his inability to arrange it.

This led to an argument and it culminated with one friend stabbing the groom to death.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, however, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Circle Officer Naresh Singh stated: “The main accused, Ramkhiladi, was arrested on December 15, 2020.

“The five other accused are currently on the run, however, we have leads on them and they will be arrested soon.”

The incident took place on December 7, 2020, in the district of Ghaziapur.

According to reports, some young men were dancing at the wedding when they demanded that the DJ play a specific song.

When the DJ refused, they became violent and this led to a clash between two groups at the function.

The Ghaziabad Police registered a case against four people and sent the body of the deceased for a post-mortem.

The alleged accused were detained for questioning and eyewitnesses were questioned thoroughly.

Senior Superintendent of Police of Bulandshahr, Santosh Kumar Singh, claimed:

“Prima facie, it appears that he died due to cardiac arrest.

“The matter is under investigation and action will be taken accordingly.”
