Alia Bhatt revealed her baby daughter’s name in the sweetest way.
She gave birth to the child on November 6, 2022, and it left fans wondering what Alia and Ranbir Kapoor had named their daughter.
Alia has now taken to Instagram to reveal the name.
In the picture, Alia and Ranbir are seen cradling the baby, showing a tiny glimpse of the infant’s head.
But in the background, there was a baby-sized Barcelona kit framed on the wall, bearing the name ‘Raha’.
In the caption, Alia explained the meaning behind the name and also revealed that it was her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor who chose the name.
Alia wrote: “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…
“Raha, in its purest form, means divine path in Swahili.
“She is joy. In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan.
“In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief.
“In Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom and bliss.
“And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it all.
“Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”

The Kapoor family has a long history of members with last names that begin with the letter ‘R’, with Ranbir Kapoor, his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, Randhir Kapoor and the late Rishi Kapoor.
Alia Bhatt announced the birth of her baby in this post earlier in November 2022.
