In 2014, she was crowned Miss India and became the first Indian to win seven titles at the Miss Earth contest.

Speaking about Tipppsy, Alankrita said: “Well, I truly had a gala and a ball of a time in playing my character of Pony.

In our exclusive chat, we spoke to Alankrita Sahai about the many facets of her career and are excited to share with you her wise insights.
What made you want to explore beauty pageants?
I was drawn to beauty pageants because they provide a platform for empowerment and personal growth.
They encourage women to embrace their individuality, voice their opinions, and make a difference in their communities.
Participating in pageants helped me build confidence and develop skills that are invaluable in life.
How did you feel when you were crowned Miss India?
When I was crowned Miss India, I felt an overwhelming rush of emotions – joy, gratitude, and a sense of responsibility.
It was a dream come true but it also made me acutely aware of the platform I now had to effect positive change and inspire others.
What advice would you give to girls and young women who feel self-conscious about their looks?
My advice would be to focus on what makes you unique rather than comparing yourself to others.
True beauty comes from within and embracing your individuality is what will ultimately make you shine.
Surround yourself with supportive people and remember that confidence is the most attractive quality you can possess.
What importance or resonance do you think beauty pageants hold in 2024?
In 2024, beauty pageants continue to hold significance as they evolve to reflect diverse definitions of beauty and empowerment.
They serve as a platform for important social issues.
They also encourage participants to use their voices for advocacy, making them relevant in today’s society.
Can you tell us what inspired you to explore film and television?
My passion for storytelling and the arts inspired me to explore film and television.
I’ve always believed in the power of narratives to evoke emotions and connect people.
The opportunity to portray different characters and bring stories to life is something that deeply excites me.
What roles and genres would you like to explore and why?
I would love to explore roles that challenge societal norms and delve into complex characters.
Genres like drama and fantasy fascinate me because they allow for deep emotional exploration and creativity.
I believe there’s so much to learn from diverse storytelling.
What differences and similarities have you noticed in modelling and acting?
Both modelling and acting require a strong presence, but the approach differs.
Modelling is often about conveying a mood or aesthetic through stillness and expression.
Acting involves portraying a character and emotions in a dynamic way.
Both, however, require confidence and the ability to connect with an audience.
What artists in beauty and film have inspired you?
I admire artists like Audrey Hepburn for her timeless elegance and commitment to humanitarian causes.
Filmmakers like Ava DuVernay for her powerful storytelling and advocacy for diversity in film.
Their work has inspired me to use my platform to create change and inspire others.
I love Rekha Ji, Deepika Padukone, Meghna Gulzar, and Zoya Akhtar for the same reasons.
Can you describe your TEDx journey? What has that given you?
My TEDx journey was transformative.
It pushed me to articulate my thoughts and experiences on a larger platform.
Sharing my message about self-acceptance and empowerment resonated with many.
It also reinforced my belief in the importance of vulnerability and authenticity.
Can you tell us a bit about your music career? What have you enjoyed the most?
My music career has been a wonderful outlet for creative expression.
I’ve enjoyed the process of performing the most melodies and lyrics that reflect my experiences and emotions.
Connecting with my audience through music has been incredibly fulfilling.
What can you tell us about your future projects?
I’m excited about several upcoming projects that blend my passions for film, music, and advocacy.
I’m working on a few film roles that challenge me as an actress, and I’m also in the studio creating new music that I can’t wait to share.
Each project is an opportunity to grow and inspire others.
I am doing Punjabi films and finished a project for Jio and a few more platforms.
My next music video is due for release.
It is a remake of the superhit, ‘Tere Bin‘ by Atif Aslam and Akhil Sachdeva.
