"Use your brain, I beg you.”

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has voiced his anger on Twitter regarding his frustration at those who continue to go out despite the nation being on lockdown.

On Tuesday, 24 March 2020, Akshay shared a video on Twitter expressing his anger and concern over the safety and wellbeing of others during this testing time.

Currently, India is on lockdown in an attempt to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.

The video was taken in his home gym as Akshay urges people to self-isolate otherwise “everything will be over”. He captioned the video:

“At the risk of sounding repetitive, sharing my thoughts … there is a lockdown for a reason. Please don’t be selfish and venture out, you’re putting others lives at risk.”

In the video, Akshay Kumar can be heard urging people to stay at home. He says:

“Every time I talk about what’s in my heart with politeness but today I am so angry, forgive me if I end up saying anything rude.

“Have some people really lost it? Who here doesn’t understand the word lockdown?”

Akshay continued to condemn those people who continue to go out onto the streets. He said:

“You think you are so brave. All this will get you in a hospital and make you family sick too … No one will be left. Use your brain, I beg you.”

Akshay further added that despite doing his own stunts in movies like hanging down from a helicopter, the Coronavirus pandemic has left him feeling frightening.

The lockdown has extended to 20 states and Union Territories while the junta curfew was imposed in provinces like Punjab, Maharasthra and Puducherry.

As an act to restrict the movement of people state governments have deployed police on the street, sealed borders and can fine violators.

Unfortunately, there has been a major concern that people are not following the guidelines and restrictions set.

Due to the negligence of people, strict legal action is being imposed.

This heightens the risk faced by the people of the nation as the total number of Coronavirus cases in India has increased to more than 430.

On Sunday, 22 March 2020, people of India observed a day of janta curfew. However, after 5pm crowds took to the streets banging utensils.

During this difficult time, people across the world are being instructed to stay at home and in self-isolation.

It comes as no surprise that people like Akshay Kumar are angry over people’s lack of concern of others.
