Saif Ali Khan left some fans worried after he was spotted with his tattoo of Kareena Kapoor’s name covered up.
He and Kareena have been together since 2007.
In the early days of their relationship, Saif got Kareena’s name inked onto his left forearm.
It has been a visible tattoo for many years, however, some fans wondered if there was trouble in their marriage after he was pictured with what appeared to be a cover-up.
A paparazzi account noticed that Kareena’s name appeared to be covered up with a pattern.
Expressing concern, one claimed: “Divorce soon.”
Another said: “Looks like there will be divorce soon.”
A third added: “Now divorce will be given soon.”
Some began theorising that Saif is preparing to marry for a third time after having two children each with Kareena and his first wife Amrita Singh.
One user said: “Kareena’s life is over, now she will raise these 2 children… Now Saif is getting married for the third time.”
Another mockingly posted: “Looks like now it is the turn of a third one, that’s why Kareena has been removed.”
Seemingly slamming Saif Ali Khan, one person said:
“Now understand girls, these people ruin your life after 10-15 years and give birth to three or four children.”
However, others did not look too far into the apparent tattoo change, with some believing it was a temporary tattoo.
A user said: “Seems to be a temporary tattoo not permanent.”
Another bluntly stated: “Fake.”
Some netizens said it was for an upcoming project, something he previously did for films like Jawaani Janeman.
Urging social media users to stop worrying, one said:
“Chill everyone it’s for a movie.”
Saif Ali Khan debuted the tattoo in 2008 and at the time, many compared it to David Beckham’s iconic tattoo on his left forearm.
He said at the time: “I wanted to say, ‘Look, this is what I have done and it’s a pretty serious commitment’.
“I can wave it in your face every time you say ‘Casanova! I’ll say, ‘But I haven’t done that before’.”
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan is working on a film with Siddharth Anand.
The untitled film promises to be a high-octane affair, filled with intense action sequences, gripping storytelling and the trademark style which Siddharth Anand is known for.
It is reported that it will be released on Netflix.
