Saif Ali Khan was attacked in the early hours of January 16, 2025, at his Bandra home in Mumbai, an incident that shocked fans across the country.

He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors confirmed he was leaking spinal fluid when he arrived at the emergency department.

The actor underwent spinal and plastic surgeries during a five-hour operation before being shifted to the ICU for further monitoring.

A piece of the knife was removed from Saif’s body, with the actor sustaining serious injuries to his neck, back and waist.

He spent five days in the hospital and was discharged on January 21 after responding well to treatment.

Reports revealed Saif had gone to bed around 2 am with sons, Taimur and Jeh, after watching a movie together.

Kareena had been out that evening and returned home shortly before the attack occurred.

The intruder had already injured the nanny and slightly cut Jeh’s hand while threatening them inside the house.

Acting instinctively, Saif tackled the attacker to protect his family, despite the severity of the danger.

The incident left his children traumatised, with Taimur reportedly asking his father if he was going to die.

Despite his injuries, Saif remained calm and reassured his sons before heading to the hospital.

The intruder was later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, who allegedly entered the home intending to commit theft.

Saif later shared fresh details about his hospital experience, revealing he initially asked for a stretcher but was ignored in the emergency room.

After his discharge, the actor faced online trolling for walking out of the hospital without a wheelchair.

Responding to the criticism, Saif clarified that walking was his own decision, even though it was painful.

Kareena’s words have since resonated strongly with fans, highlighting resilience, gratitude and family strength after one of their most testing years.
