Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have become proud parents to a baby boy.
The little one arrived on Sunday, February 21, 2021, a few hours after Kareena was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
The newborn is Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s second child together.
The pair are already raising four-year-old Taimur, who must now take on the role of big brother.
Saif Ali Khan announced the birth of his new son in a statement to the press.
The proud father said:
“We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy.
“Thank you to our well wishers for their love and support.”
Also sharing the news of the baby’s arrival, Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor said:
“She has delivered a baby boy in the morning around 9am. I’ll be visiting them soon.”
Positive messages have been pouring in for the couple on the new addition to their family.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sister Karisma took to Instagram with an old family photo, and congratulated her sibling on her new child.

The captain reads:
“That’s my sis when she was a new born and now she’s a mama once again!!
“And I’m a masi again so excited #goodwishes #congratulations #onlylove”
Kareena’s cousin Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also took to social media to show her love.
She wrote:
“Congratulations Bebo and Saif, it’s a boy!”
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan announced the news that they would be expanding their family in August 2020.
Similar to her first pregnancy with Taimur, Kareena did not stop working, and was shooting multiple projects throughout.
According to a source close to the family, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have spent time during Kareena’s pregnancy preparing their elder son Taimur for a new sibling.
The parents have arranged playdates for Taimur and his cousin Inaaya Kemmu, daughter of Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan.
Kareena has also been having daily conversations with the four-year-old, to make him aware that “a little friend is on the way to give him company for life”.
There will undoubtedly be much speculation surrounding the name of the Bollywood couple’s new child.
Back in 2018, it was revealed that Saif Ali Khan wanted to name their first son Faiz, however the pair eventually agreed on Taimur.
Now their second son is born, maybe the name Faiz will reappear.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s next on-screen appearance will be in Laal Singh Chaddha.
The film also stars Aamir Khan, and is the Hindi remake of Hollywood blockbuster Forrest Gump.
Kareena finished shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha during her pregnancy, and the film is due for release in 2021.
