"It’s a substantial victory."

Ankush Bahuguna is confirmed to be the first male Indian beauty influencer to attend the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The content creator will walk the prestigious Cannes Red Carpet, taking place between May 14 and May 25, 2024.

It has also been rumoured that Ankush will be styled by Akshay Tyagi for the event.

Delving into his thoughts about his historic Cannes debut, Ankush Bahuguna said:

“Walking the Cannes Red Carpet seemed beyond my wildest dreams.

“It truly shows that with belief and hard work, you can achieve the extraordinary.

“I am immensely proud to see men’s beauty, particularly from South Asia, gain global recognition.

“This milestone at Cannes is not just a personal triumph but a significant step forward for South Asian representation in beauty and fashion.

“It marks a pivotal moment for the acceptance of men’s beauty on a worldwide stage.

“It’s a substantial victory and a door-opener for many more to come.”

Ankush has been through a tough but inspiring journey on his road to international recognition.

He endured bullying in his childhood.

Ankush was a year into an architecture course when he discovered his passion for beauty, writing and creating content.

He also dabbled in acting when he starred in the web shows Joint Venture (2019) and Badboli Bhavna (2022).

In March 2024, Ankush Bahuguna stressed the importance of loyalty towards a content creator.

He said: “I think this is such a touchy topic for all of us.

“When I say loyalty, it isn’t just for the followers but also relationships.

“I also spoke about how being a professional content creator is a glorified profession.

“Not every influencer is big on fan following, engagement and brand deals.

“So, I urged the audience to think about how it’s very important to be financially secure.

“Don’t quit the job you already have for this. Start content creation on the side, and then you can decide as you grow.

“I don’t want to limit myself to a beauty influencer.”

Ankush has certainly carved a niche for himself in the world of content creation and beauty.

Such positive thoughts and optimism aptly describe why he is worthy of marking his presence at Cannes.

Ankush Bahuguna also appeared in Forbes India’s Top 100 digital stars in 2023.

The Mumbai-based influencer has over one million followers on Instagram, where he shares some of his fashion looks as well as beauty tips.
