Aamir Khan may be set to get married for the third time ahead of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), fans have joked.
They bantered that the Bollywood star will shortly be announcing his latest wedding so as to not hamper the success of the movie.
People took to social media to make their jokes.
One person tweeted: “At age 57, Aamir Khan will marry for the third time and 15 years after that he will get divorced too.”
Another added: “Someone needs to make Aamir Khan the brand ambassador for promoting contract marriages.”
Some suggested that the actor’s Dangal (2016) co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh could be his new bride.
It comes after Khan and filmmaker Kiran Rao announced their divorce on Saturday, July 3, 2021, after 15 years together.
In a statement, they said: “We are no longer husband and wife, but we will be co-parents and each other’s families.”
Khan and Rao have a nine-year-old son called Azad Khan.
Khan also has two adult children from his first marriage with film producer Reena Dutta, named Ira and Junaid Khan.
Some speculated that the separation was the result of a relationship between Khan and Shaikh, something she was trolled for.
However, the 28-year-old actress categorically denied this at the time, adding that she considers the PK (2014) star a mentor.
The social media quips come as female lead Kareena Kapoor Khan announced Laal Singh Chaddha has been postponed again.
She shared a movie poster featuring the new release date, Thursday, April 14, 2022, the same day as Baisakhi.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Hollywood cult classic Forrest Gump (1994) starring Tom Hanks.
It was initially set to be released on Christmas Day 2020 but was pushed back to Christmas 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The movie was then scheduled for Valentine’s Day 2022 until the latest announcement made on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
The film will also be Kareena Kapoor Khan’s first movie since Angrezi Medium (2020) with Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan.
Laal Singh Chaddha is also Aamir Khan’s first film since Thugs of Hindostan, which was released in 2018.
