Will Aamir Khan get Married for a Third Time f

"I don’t like living alone, I need a partner."

Aamir Khan gave his thoughts on whether he would get married for a third time.

The actor appeared on Rhea Chakraborty’s Chapter 2 podcast where he explained that he has grown closer to his children.

Aamir also stated that despite two divorces, both of his ex-wives remain an integral part of his family.

Aamir and Reena Dutta divorced in 2002. He married Kiran Rao in 2005 but they parted ways in 2021.

He shares a warm equation with both of them and on the podcast, he revealed whether he would consider a third marriage.

As Rhea pointed out how the institution of marriage has changed over the years, she asked Aamir his take on marriage and whether she should get married.

Aamir jokingly replied: “I have had two unsuccessful marriages, so don’t ask for marriage advice from me.”

He then appeared to hint that he is open to another marriage.

“I don’t like living alone, I need a partner. I am not a loner, I like companionship.

“I am very close to both my ex-wives Reena and Kiran, we are like one family.

“Life is unpredictable, so how can we trust it? So marriages working depends from person to person.”

Rhea asked Aamir if he plans to get married again and he said:

“I am 59 now, where getting married again looks difficult.

“I have so many relationships in my life right now, I have reconnected with my family, my kids, etc.

“I am very happy just being with people who are close to me. I am working towards being a better person.”

Aamir Khan also revealed on the podcast that his contemplation to quit films came as a shock to Kiran Rao and led him to have a mental breakdown.

He elaborated: “This incident caused a mental breakdown. I had a proper mental breakdown. I went through solid pain. I was distressed.

“I was broken by the time I had my first realisation.

“The realisation that when my kids were young—when Ira was 3 years old, 8 years old, 12 years old—I was never there for them.

“I wasn’t totally absent like I would spend time with them like any normal working father, but even though I was with them and with my mother, I was mentally never present with them.”

He sought therapy to deal with the mental breakdown, which helped him a lot in navigating his dilemma.

Revealing that Laal Singh Chaddha’s failure affected him greatly, Aamir revealed how he is trying to reinvent himself.
