“They were immediately quarantined"
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has revealed that his staff members have been tested positive for Covid-19.
Confirming the news on Tuesday, 30 June 2020, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor took to Instagram to update his followers.
He confirmed those who tested positive for coronavirus were “immediately quarantined” in a medical facility.
He also thanked BMC officials for their help and “prompt” response in ensuring his staff members were taken care off.
Issuing his statement on Instagram, Aamir Khan wrote:
“Hello everyone, this is to inform you that some of my staff have tested positive.
“They were immediately quarantined, and BMC officials were very prompt and efficient in taking them to a medical facility.
“I would like to thank the BMC for taking such good care of them, and for fumigating and sterilising the entire society.”
Aamir Khan continued to mention that others including himself have tested negative for the virus.
“The rest of us have all been tested and found negative.”
The actor further added that his mother is yet to be tested and asked his fans to pray for her wellbeing. He said:
“Right now, I am taking my mother to get her tested. She is the last person in the loop. Please pray that she is negative.
I would, once again, like to thank the BMC for the prompt, professional and caring manner, in which they helped us.”
Aamir went on to express his gratitude for BMC officials and the staff at Kokilaben Hospital. He said:
“And a big thank you to Kokilaben Hospital, and the doctors, nurses and staff there.”
“They were very caring and professional with the testing process. God bless and stay safe. Love. Aamir.”

Meanwhile, Aamir was shooting for his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha (2020) before the nationwide coronavirus lockdown was implemented.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role opposite the actor.
Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to release in December 2020.
During the lockdown, Aamir has been in quarantine with his wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao Khan at their Mumbai residence.
They were joined by Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan from his marriage with Reena Dutta.
The entire family also attended the virtual premiere of the digital film, Mrs Serial Killer (2020) from the comfort of their home.
In fact, the film marked the debut of the actor’s niece Zayn Marie.
