Indian actress Hina Khan has revealed that she has tested positive for Covid-19.

This comes amid India’s huge surge in Covid-19 cases.

Hina took to social media on April 27, 2021, to announce the news and also inform her followers about her current situation.

She explained that she has quarantined herself at home.

Hina wrote: “In these extremely difficult and challenging times for me and my family, I have tested positive for Covid-19.

“Following the guidance of my doctors, I have home quarantined myself and taking all necessary precautions.

“Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested.

“All I need is your prayers. Be safe and take care.”

Contracting Covid-19 is the second challenge the actress has faced in April 2021.

On April 20, 2021, Hina Khan lost her father due to a cardiac arrest.

Hina was in her hometown of Srinagar when she received the news.

She, along with her family, travelled to Mumbai after the sad demise of her father.

Hina later took to social media to show her gratitude to the people for their support in her tough times.

However, the actress also decided to keep herself away from social media and mourn for her father in private.

She wrote on Instagram:

“My beloved father Aslam Khan left for heavenly abode on April 20.

“I am grateful to each one of you for checking in on me and my family during these tough times.”

“While I and my family are mourning the loss, my social media accounts will be handled by my team for upcoming work commitments. Thank you for your support and love.”

A week after her announcement, she has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now recovering at home.

The second wave has hit India in the worst way possible, with more than 350,000 people testing positive each day.

It has also seen medical supplies running out.

Like the rest of the country, many Indian film and TV stars have also tested positive for the virus, and many artists have lost their lives too.

Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Pooja Hegde, and others have also tested Covid-19 positive and battled the virus.

While many artists including music composer Shravan Rathod, vocalist Pandit Rajan Mishra, actor Kishore Nandalsarkar and many others have lost their lives to the virus.
