"this is actually our first time living apart"
Aisha Mian has been confirmed as one of the contestants on Inside: USA, the American edition of the hit Sidemen reality show.
The series arrives on Netflix on September 21 and promises the same mix of chaos, strategy, and stripped-back survival that made its UK version a global sensation.
Aisha, who has over three million TikTok followers, built her online presence through beauty tutorials, fitness content, and lifestyle videos.
Her fans are used to seeing her with makeup brushes in hand or filming a hair tutorial.
Now, she faces a very different challenge: surviving in a house with almost no luxuries and competing for a $1 million prize pot.
Aisha is widely known for collaborating with her twin sister Azra and their rise goes back to 2014 when they launched their YouTube channel.
Inspired by creators The Dolan Twins and Brooklyn and Bailey, they uploaded Get Ready With Me videos, Q&As, and travel vlogs.
The twins grew up in Staten Island, New York, alongside their parents and older sisters Jannat and Jasmina, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue content creation full-time.
After high school, both Aisha and Azra enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
They dropped out after their first year to focus on social media, a decision that tested cultural expectations within their family.
On The Dhar and Jay Show, Azra explained: “For my parents, it was like, you don’t move out till you’re married.”
Aisha added: “They kind of moved with the times, which I’m so grateful for because sometimes there are families where the parents might be you know, a little bit more closed off or traditional where they don’t want to be open-minded to doing things that are outside of the culture, but our parents were.”
The sisters, who are half-Albanian and half-Pakistani, often highlight their cultural heritage.
On their podcast, they’ve discussed celebrating Ramadan, their fasting experiences, and continuing traditions while living away from home.
Their openness has helped shape their connection with a growing international fanbase.
On entering Inside: USA, Aisha Mian said:
“Having a twin sister, the content range kind of expands.”
“We do a lot of funny pranks on each other, a lot of twin telepathy going on and this is actually our first time living apart, so I’m finally becoming an independent individual.”
Inside: USA will see 12 contestants enter with only the clothes they are wearing.
Everything from hot showers to snacks carries a heavy cost that reduces the $1 million prize fund.
The upcoming series is hosted by streamer Valkyrae and content creator Fanum, who knows all about the reality show, having been a contestant on Season 1.
It is the first USA series and the first four episodes will premiere on Netflix on September 21. This will be followed by the next three episodes on September 24 and the final two on September 28.
