The revelations have shocked her followers.
A TikTok star from Kashmore has been accused of running honey traps that led unsuspecting men into the hands of bandits.
Uroosa Solangi, a social media influencer with a large following in rural Sindh and Punjab, was arrested after police surveillance exposed her alleged role.
Authorities claim she used Facebook and WhatsApp, rather than her TikTok platform, to lure men under the pretence of marriage.
Once convinced, these men were invited to Kashmore, where they were reportedly captured and handed over to the notorious Bakhsh Ali Shar gang.
According to Kashmore ASP Muhammad Asher, earlier, the same gang relied on voice filters to trick victims into their schemes.
Investigations shifted when police began analysing call records and discovered the involvement of a woman directly connected to the gang.
Officers placed Solangi’s mobile phone under constant monitoring and found she had switched SIM cards at least four times.
The surveillance of four phone numbers, coupled with links to “B-party” members of the Shar gang, eventually confirmed her role.
ASP Asher explained that while Solangi was not personally negotiating ransoms, she still received a cut once money changed hands.
The police further revealed her involvement in more than a dozen cases, each targeting men who had been brought from Punjab or Sindh.
An FIR has since been registered, and authorities believe her links to the gang extended beyond just the kidnappings.
No incriminating content was found on her TikTok account, which she used solely to build popularity and fan following.
Instead, Facebook and WhatsApp were her tools to establish contact and lure potential victims to Kashmore.
Police officials stated that the turning point in her life came when she received threats from a criminal in the region.
After approaching Bakhsh Ali Shar for help, the threats ended, and her friendship with the gang leader began to deepen.
Officers believe that this relationship opened the door for her participation in the gang’s operations and eventual criminal activities.
The revelations have shocked her followers, many of whom viewed her as an entertainer with millions of online supporters.
For now, Kashmore Police continue their investigations, stressing that the crackdown on such honey trap networks will be pursued aggressively.
The case has raised questions about how social media influencers can be pulled into organised crime.
