Malayalam cinema legend Mammootty is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with the release of Bazooka.
The highly anticipated thriller is directed by Deeno Dennis.
Scheduled to hit theatres on February 14, 2025, the film will follow the superstar’s January release, Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse.
This marks a strong start to the year for the film star.
Announced in April 2023, Bazooka underwent meticulous planning, with Deeno dedicating three years to perfecting its script.
The project captivated Mammootty, who was drawn to the film’s gripping narrative and complex characters.
He reportedly shot for over 45 days.
The movie features a stellar cast, including Gautham Vasudev Menon, Babu Antony, Neeta Pillai, Gayathiri Iyer, Jagadish, Shine Tom Chacko, and Mime Gopi.
Yoodlee Films, the production house, confirmed the release date via an official poster on social media.
The film’s teaser, unveiled on August 15, 2024, offered a glimpse into its intense storyline.
Playing Vinod Menon, Mammootty’s character exudes mystery and authority, introduced with a suave half-ponytail, a full beard, and rimmed glasses.
His striking look, coupled with the ominous visuals, sets the tone for a narrative steeped in the classic conflict between good and evil.
The teaser begins with Gautham Vasudev Menon as a morally ambiguous police officer who deceives his superiors while ruthlessly taking down criminals.
Babu Antony, playing the antagonist, delivers a chilling voiceover hinting at a deadly game of power.
The visuals transition to Mammootty’s character preparing for a high-stakes mission.
He dons a black tuxedo and steps out of a vintage car with an air of elegance.
The teaser ends with Menon questioning Mammootty’s role, to which he confidently asserts there’s no role he hasn’t mastered.
Bazooka also boasts a powerful score by Saeed Abbas, with songs composed by Midhun Mukundan.
