The Bluff is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and steers away from romanticised pirate tropes.
Directed by Frank E. Flowers, the film presents a brutal, R-rated look at survival.
Priyanka plays Ercell “Bloody Mary” Bodden, a former pirate living a quiet life in the Cayman Islands.
Her peace is shattered when her vengeful former captain, Connor, returns to hunt her down.
The film also stars Karl Urban and Ismael Cruz Cordova in pivotal roles.
Frank E. Flowers directed the gritty action-drama, which has already garnered positive early reviews.
It promises to deliver a fresh perspective on the classic pirate narrative.
Priyanka’s training for the film involved months of sword fighting and maritime history research.
This project marks another significant milestone in Priyanka Chopra’s flourishing international career.
The actress recently wrapped filming for the second season of the spy thriller Citadel.
