"From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”
Twitter users and hockey fans recently saw a hilarious interaction between the Indian women’s hockey coach and Shah Rukh Khan.
On Monday, August 2, 2021, the women’s hockey team made history by reaching the semi-final of the Tokyo Olympics.
Their coach, Sjoerd Marijne, expressed his pride after aiding the women in their most successful turnaround since the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Marijne took to Twitter on Monday, August 2, 2021.
He uploaded a selfie of him and his team.
Sorry family , I coming again later ??? pic.twitter.com/h4uUTqx11F

The caption read:
“Sorry family, I coming again later.”
The coach’s tweet came shortly after he spoke to his family over the phone following the Indian women’s 1-0 win against Australia in the quarter-finals.
Many Twitter users flocked to praise the team and their coach, including Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.
SRK, who previously played coach Kabir Khan of the women’s hockey team in Chak De India, saw an opportunity for a joke and took it.
Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan. https://t.co/QcnqbtLVGX

Replying to Sjoerd Marijne’s tweet, the actor said:
“Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back… for a billion family members.
“This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”
Marijne quickly noticed the joke and responded to thank SRK for his support for the Indian hockey team.
Thank you for all the support and love. We will give everything again.

He said:
“Thank you for all the support and love. We will give everything again.
“From: The Real Coach.”
Multiple Twitter users reacted to the banter between real coach Sjoerd Marijne and ‘reel coach’ Shah Rukh Khan.
Many netizens referenced the 2007 sports film, tweeting the hashtag #ChakDeIndia.
However, not everyone saw the funny side.
One person slammed SRK for supposedly believing coaching on-screen and in real life is the same thing. The user said:
“Ex-coach???? You were not a real coach Mr Khan, there’s a lot of difference in movies and real life.”
Another user commented to accuse SRK of trying to steal the spotlight from the Indian women’s hockey team.
The user wrote:
“You and your movie had NOTHING to do with the women’s hockey team victory. Stop trying to hog the limelight for the wrong reasons.
“Bet they don’t even know about your film.
“Give them and their coach credit for their victory. It belongs to them and their hard work.”
After securing a 1-0 win against Australia in the quarter-finals, the Indian women’s hockey team are in their first-ever Olympic semi-final.
The women will take on Argentina for a place in the final on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
